Nobody Beats The Drum

Three dudes jumping around like crazy in front of a 333-inch nine-panel display of trippy lights, graphics, and effects while a mixture of hip-hop, breaks, electro, and bass shakes the ceilings of the venue: Who could expect much more from a dance party? Amsterdam’s Nobody Beats The Drum—the trio of Jori Collignon, Sjam Sjamsoedin, and Rogier Van Der Zwaag—deliver exactly that by putting two in charge of the beats, one in charge of the visuals, and all three in charge of walloping the crowd into a frothy, sweaty party. The group’s latest, Currents, came out in 2011 but really, for maximum effect, go see it live.
