For a while, it appeared that Joel Calvin’s ill-fated bid at scoring an updated Gatti’s Pizza jingle would be the last new music ever issued by Oh No Oh My. Then came the news that the quartet had entered Jim Eno’s Public Hi-Fi to track a new full-length of catchy little tragedies, entitled People Problems. Adrift in krautrock distance, the album’s opening track, “Walking Into Me,” recalls Enos Jimand Brian in its Spoon-esque economy and chilly,Another Green World synths. It sets a beguiling, if not a shade darker, tone for the rest of People Problems.
