It might not be fair to fans of industrial (those still exist, right?) to simply explain Ohgr as a Skinny Puppy knockoff, but, well, the shoe fits. The other band of Puppy frontman Nivek Ogre, Ohgr works a similar vein of dark, gritty dance music. To be fair, the group’s early efforts leaned more toward perky techno-pop, while still working in plenty of grime and distortion. But its latest efforts, including this year’s Undeveloped, are going to sound comfortably familiar to people who spent the ’90s dying their hair black and dancing in clubs with names like Onyx or Nocturne.
