OM
True to its meditative name, Om models itself on Tibetan chanting—with a fair share of experimental psych-rock in the mix. The result falls somewhere between stoner rock and doom metal, but the effect is at once haunting and totally engrossing. This year's God Is Good is the first recording to feature Grails' Emil Amos, who took over drums after founding member Chris Hakius departed last year.
