Paramore
It would be easy to brush Paramore aside, though the young band whips up eminently catchy and even passionate pop-punk that neatly balances its epic flourishes with the juice-box sweetness of singer Hayley Williams. It's about as good and safe as mall-punk gets, and Paramore has proven wildly successful at pulling in new fans of all demographics since its 2005 debut All We Know Is Falling. (The band's opening slot for No Doubt this past summer and its inclusion as the lead single on the Twilight soundtrack surely helped, too.) Paramore's just-released Brand New Eyes almost didn’t even happen: The recording was a maturing, if not entirely stressful, experience for Paramore that very nearly split up its members.
