Perry Farrell

Like Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor—Jane's Addiction's tourmate last summer—Perry Farrell has been finding inspiration close to home lately. Reznor's latest outfit, How To Destroy Angels, is a collaboration with his wife, and Ferrell's new Perry And Etty project is likewise a nuptial affair. When not making music (or organizing Lollapalooza itself), Ferrell spins it. He's been a dilettante DJ for years, operating mostly under the name DJ Peretz. Upbeat, trance-y, yet organic, his sets usually shoot for a euphoric vibe that definitely stands out on a bill full of indie-dance and electro. Of course, like most musician-turned-DJs, Ferrell isn't above mixing in a tune or two from his previous bands. Who's gonna tell him no?
