HOLIDAY SALE AT THE ONION STORE

Artist Peter Frampton

Since breaking every conceivable sales record with 1976’s Frampton Comes Alive!, then suffering a Behind The Music-worthy downfall as punk did to arena rock what VHS did to Betamax, Peter Frampton has performed stints as a sideman with the likes of David Bowie, contributed heavily to the soundtrack for Almost Famous (and made a cameo), and even done a guest spot on The Simpsons. But the ’70s icon is good for more than just cameos. The well-received 2010 album Thank You Mr. Churchill is better than it has any right to be, and Frampton’s guitar-playing is still in fine form. Though, after more than 30 years on the road, he could probably perform “Show Me The Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way,” and “Do You Feel Like We Do” in his sleep.
