Peter Frampton

Since breaking every conceivable sales record with 1976’s Frampton Comes Alive!, then suffering aBehind The Music-worthy downfall as punk did to arena rock what VHS did to Betamax, Peter Frampton has performed stints as a sideman with the likes of David Bowie, contributed heavily to the soundtrack for Almost Famous (and made a cameo), and even done a guest spot on The Simpsons. But the ’70s icon is good for more than just cameos. The well-received 2010 album Thank You Mr. Churchillis better than it has any right to be, and Frampton’s guitar skills are still in fine form. On his current tour, the unstoppable Frampton celebrates the 35th anniversary of Comes Alive! by playing the album in its entirety.
