Pissed Jeans

Slathered in dissonance, misanthropy, and every manner of glandular discharge, Pissed Jeans play wrecked and ravaged punk that proves an ideal antidote to the overabundance of polite indie rock. The 2007 breakout Hope For Men made a big noise, and 2009’s follow-up, King Of Jeans—the band’s second on Sub Pop Records—proved just as wonderfully nasty, with lots of sludge and sexiness by turns. Brash and pissed-off sounding (suitably), Pissed Jeans bring a rare, manic energy to driving, straight-ahead rock ’n’ roll sound.
