Artist Poster Children

Straddling the midpoint between Mission Of Burma and Talking Heads, Champaign, Ill.’s Poster Children blend post-punk and new wave into a sound that earned it high-profile fans like Steve Albini and Fugazi’s Ian MacKaye in the ’90s. The band has slowed down a bit since 2004, when it released its most recent album, No More Songs About Sleep And Fire. But when the Poster Children do play out, they sound every bit as ferocious as they were back when 1995’s Junior Citizen burned up college radio.
