Psychostick

Pyschostick

For those who already hear slobbering stupidity in nü-metal, rap-metal, and other sounds in corporate radio’s death-cloud, Arizona’s Psychostick gets straight to it. Taking a cue from the silly, forced weightiness of bands raised on Korn and Drowning Pool, Psychostick faithfully keeps the chugga-chugga guitars and howl-of-the-teenage-damned vocals, but writes deliberately dumb lyrics about booze, genitals, and other crude subject matter. The band’s predilection for dumb is documented on albums such as its debut, 2006’s We Couldn’t Think Of A Title, the 2007’s yuletide-themed release The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride, and its most recent, 2011’s Space Vampires Vs Zombie Dinosaurs In 3D, which have earned it a mocking-loving fan base.
