Pulp
Jarvis Cocker is a lot of things including, but not limited to, angular looking, super smart, and uncannily sexy. One thing he’s not, though, is a pushover. As both the frontman and the driving force behind ’90s Britpoppers Pulp, Cocker did just about whatever he damn well wanted, including singing songs about class war and notoriously pranking Michael Jackson at the ’96 Brit Awards. It’s possible everything went a little too manic at some point, because the band went on a long hiatus starting in 2002. They emerged only recently for some UK gigs and European festival dates, but are just now heading to the U.S. for an all-too-short mini tour around two Coachella dates. As always, Cocker’s doing it his way.
