Puscifer
While Puscifer may not yet be a household name among industrial-music fans, its central figure Maynard James Keenan certainly is. The primary force behind Tool and A Perfect Circle, Keenan imbues his solo project with a decidedly more accessible, danceable sound. Unexpectedly enough, the band’s name comes from an episode of the cult sketch-comedy show Mr. Show, in which Puscifer appeared as a fictional band with Keenan as a member. A combination of Keenan’s musical experimentation and his own line of clothing, Puscifer is a band and a brand at the same time. The project has officially existed for more than a decade, but only played its first tour in 2009. Puscifer is now on a tour in support of the 2011 album Conditions Of My Parole.
