Qbert

DJ Qbert has a long history in the electronica and hip-hop scenes, beginning with his work with San Francisco spell-check-confusing DJ ensemble Invisibl Skratch Piklz. His best-known work was on Dr. Octagon’s classic 1996 album, Dr. Octagonecologyst, where his skills brought some cohesion to the record’s rampant schizophrenia. Qbert’s notoriety has only expanded over the years: He now has his own lines of turntables, shoes, clothing, skateboards, and more, and his head-spinning 1998 album, Wave Twisters, gained a lot of mileage thanks to a kaleidoscopic, animated feature based on the disc in 2001.
