Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah

It's impossible to quantify Queen Latifah as one sort of entertainer. The New Jersey-born actress, singer, author, and spokesperson has a long, detailed résumé that unfolds in the mid-’80s when she started out as a rapper and beat-boxer. Since then, Latifah has found no medium (or demographic) impenetrable: She's released records on Tommy Boy, Motown, and Interscope; been a spokesperson for CoverGirl; and a long list of accolades, including a Golden Globe, Grammy, two SAG awards, and an Oscar nomination. Stepping out as a vocalist once again, Latifah is currently on the road in support of her latest, 2009’s Persona, which includes collaborations with Mary J. Blige, The Neptunes, Missy Elliott, and more.
