Reel Big Fish
Although Reel Big Fish has attempted to alter its sound over the years, the band’s marriage of horn-fueled ska and goofy lyrics remains pretty much the same as it was more than a decade ago. The group’s 2007 release, Monkeys For Nothin’ And The Chimps For Free, freely embraced what made Reel Big Fish popular to begin with—sugary, sarcastic ska—while last year’s Fame, Fortune, And Fornication sticks to skanked-up takes on well-worn covers. The band’s most recent release, A Best Of Us For The Rest Of Us, collects re-recorded and “skacoustic” versions of the band’s hits.
