Refused

In 1998, the Swedish punks in Refused broke up the band in a dramatic fashion. They posted an open letter online entitled “Refused Are Fucking Dead,” in which they referenced several political theorists and claimed the band had failed in its Marxist goal to “overthrow the class system.” The members of Refused also claimed they would each continue the revolution in other bands and other projects, meaning that they would never reunite. Oops! If the far-left members of Refused ever admitted to reuniting for the Comeback Tour Money, it would probably rankle the feathers of some of their stauncher fans, so they probably have an excuse about how they changed their mind to further the revolution. Or something.
