Unapologetic cock-rock overlords Rev Theory (mercifully shortened from the dorkier-sounding Revelation Theory) use names like Rikki Lixx, wear more dude jewelry than Guy Fieri, and feature WWE divas in their music videos (“Hell Yeah,” brandishing an infectious cheer of “Give me a ‘hell’ / Give me a ‘yeah.’”) But when you run on booze and viewing cleavage alone, toning it down only serves to reveal what could be perceived as male weakness, a rule the band only slightly broke for its upcoming album, Justice. Claiming they don’t normally write love songs, the bros banged out a yarling dysfunctional relationship ballad called “Fire.” Call that progress or call it a setback, but it’s unlikely these guys will give a fuck.
