Revolting Cocks

Former Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen always balanced his main gig with myriad side projects, especially in the late ’80s, when he seemed to start them every few months. In 2006, two years before the former Chicagoan finally euthanized Ministry, he resurrected Revolting Cocks after nearly a decade of inactivity. The project originally began in the mid-’80s as a dance-oriented collaboration with Front 242, but the band’s aggressive, hedonistic darkness bore Jourgensen’s fingerprints. The group remained active throughout the early ’90s, then disappeared until Jourgensen revived it for 2006’s Cocked And Loaded with new contributors (including Gibby Haynes, Jello Biafra, Rick Nielsen, and Billy Gibbons). The group returned last year with Sex-O Olympic-O, and now mounts its first headlining tour in 20 years behind a remix of that album.
