Riders In The Sky

Riders in the Sky

Carrying on the Western music tradition of Sons Of The Pioneers like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, the extremely loud-shirted cowboys of Riders In The Sky mix twangy fireside tunes with wacky humor in their attempts to bring “good beef to hungry people.” Ranger Slim, Too Slim, and Woody Paul have been together more than 30 years and have found great contemporary outlets for their whimsical country tunes, like numerous compositions for Pixar films like Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc. But playing massive amounts of live shows is what the Riders love to do, and crowds never seem to get tired of the painted desert expanses in their easy country Western, and the band’s quaint cowboy charm.
