Ron White
Ron White is part of the Blue Collar Comedy crew that includes Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry The Cable Guy, and he works about as blue—and redneck—as his buddies. Like the other three, the man nicknamed “Tater Salad” is a keen observer of the good-ol’-boy ethos and his Southern-skewed outlook on women and work. White sets himself apart by playing the cantankerous trickster to the everyman personas of his pals, offering the audience a chance to live (and curse) vicariously without societal repercussions. On his 2009 concert DVD, Behavioral Problems, White comes across as a sort of antimatter Bill Hicks, spouting bitter observational humor from behind his lowball glass and cigar.
