Rusko

Rusko has been conquering clubs for years, but recently got his first big break as a producer. The British DJ, born Chris Mercer, corrupts his bouncy bread and butter, dubstep, with crunk-style synths and other stateside trends, leaving an undeniable hip-hop feel to his tracks. This has led to collaborations with big names on the American pop circuit, from Rihanna to Britney, contributing to the distinct dubstep quirk on Top 40 radio. His latest full-length, Songs, was released by Mad Decent earlier this spring and has yielded now just a pretty decent soul-inflected single, “Somebody To Love,” but also an app for iPhone- and Android-owning fans to chat with each other and stay updated on the latest, greatest Rusko gossip.
