Artist Rusted Root

Rusted Root is best known for its 1995 hippie ditty “Send Me On My Way,” a song that lived on in popular culture long after its release, through movie soundtracks and television shows alike. After a handful of releases on the majors and some breaks in between, the percussion-heavy jammers returned with 2009’s Stereo Rodeo, an album utilizing Rusted Root’s trusted blend of bluegrass and world music. The record’s high point may be the swishy and airy cover of Elvis Presley’s “Suspicious Minds.” While no new music appears to be in the works, the launch of the band’s iPhone app promises to keep jam-friendly fans in touch.
