Artist Savoy

Savoy takes anthemic, dancefloor-filling electro in the vein of MSTRKRFT or Justice, injects it with high doses of rock energy—in part generated by the use of a live drummer—then decorates the resulting tracks with crowd-pleasing samples for an irresistible sound. The New York-via-Colorado trio sounds equally comfortable in clubs or on stage at a festival, and the tunes even work pretty damn well at home. Savoy’s last full release, the 2010 EP Nothin For Nothin, was a mix of original tracks and remixes of tracks by artists as diverse as No Doubt and Dire Straits, but it’s continued releasing a steady diet of singles since, delving into dubstep sounds with its recent releases.
