Screamin' Cyn-Cyn And The Pons
Madison's Screamin' Cyn Cyn And The Pons put on consistently giddy sets of clever pop-punk, aided by thrift-store-glam getups and wacky showmanship on the part of lead singer Shane O'Neill and guitarist-singer Cynthia Burnson. Plus, tunes like "20 Percent Gay" and "Cat Waco" have turned out to be bizarrely sing-along-friendly despite their subject matter. The band's last album, 2007's Screamin' Target Heart Rate, came out on Madison label Crustacean Records. Between working on new material with the band, O'Neill also performs in his Shane Shane solo project.
