Sean Bones

In 2009, Sean Bones decided that he wanted to make rough, punk-inspired reggae after doing some stuff the prior summer that he’ll probably never tell you about (but that he says was pretty sweet). In the history of punk origin stories, Bones’ “that summer was great” history isn’t going to hold up alongside tales of all-out rebellion, but his idea of a grittier, distorted reggae is original enough to compensate for his lack of motive. Bones recorded his 2009 debut album, Rings, very quickly and with primitive equipment, but the catchy, beach-themed tracks feel tailor-made for long rides in roofless cars.
