Artist Shannon Curfman

As she moves into her mid-20s, Shannon Curfman will need more than precociousness to get attention, which she’s probably happy about—she released her first album, 1999’s Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions, at 14, and of course the press focused more on her age than her blues-flavored rock. She’s stayed on the radar with regular touring and albums like 2007’s Fast Lane Addiction, which keeps the throaty vocals and burly, glitzy solos while working in some plaintive acoustic material amid the polished rockers, and the new What You're Getting Into.
