As the surfeit of “Outs” would imply, gritty dance outfit Shout Out Out Out Out does things in excess or it doesn’t do it at all, piling on multiple instruments—including four bass players and two drummers—and assorted technical gadgets to make its disco-infused trashiness, often built around one never-ending monster riff. Listeners sick of Daft Punk-inspired electro-rock should steer clear, considering all of the buzzing analog synths and omnipresent vocoders, but live, the band is unmatched at putting indie-kid asses in motion with its infectious enthusiasm.
