Shudder To Think

Shudder to Think

Shudder To Think was the only band from the Washington, D.C., hardcore-punk scene with an outlandishly fey frontman and a hankering for lurching, digressive songs that played like something bent between old showtunes and fried-out prog hits. Craig Wedren led the proceedings with a strikingly expressive voice and a clever way with words, and the band behind him worked up impressive backdrops on classic early-’90s albums like Funeral At The Movies and Get Your Goat. Wedren has gone on to score music for movies (High Art, The School Of Rock) and to front the band Baby, but the reunited Shudder To Think has been going back to where it all started.
