Sia

Sia has a personality that’s a lot bigger than any of her albums would suggest. The Aussie-born U.K. transplant—and onetime guest vocalist for Zero 7—is an energetic performer with an evocative vocal range that can gracefully transfer from symphonic, forlorn ballads to quirky, new-wave dance-pop. She’s released several diverse albums over the last few years to minor successes, including 2010’s We Are Born. But the overarching critique has (unfortunately) remained the same: Sia is a diamond in the rough who has yet to really shine.
