Known for their epic remixes of tracks by the likes of Peaches, The Rapture, and CSS, the DJ/production team of James Ford and Jas Shaw—a.k.a. Simian Mobile Disco—are also killer music-makers in their own right. On Temporary Pleasure, the duo’s hands run along synthesizers and drum machines while gracious helpings of vocals are heaped on courtesy of Gossip’s Beth Ditto, Jamie Lidell, and Chris Keating of Yeasayer, among others.
