Simple Plan

There must be someone around who misses the pop-punk boom of the early 2000s, because bands like Simple Plan still seem to have an audience. Even though all the scenesters who swooned over lead singer Pierre Bouvier’s glassy-eyed Linda Hunt look grew up, the band is still making music, probably because its choice subject matter is as hot as ever. Who hasn’t been dumped by an evil girl or been bossed around by totally square parents? On the other hand, maybe all of those scenesters are just a loyal bunch who won’t let go of the memories. Either way, this show’s sure to be packed with emotionally stunted cardigan-wearers just yearning to break free from the chains of corporate conformity and find love.
