Massachusetts hard-rock group Staind has proven to be exactly the kind of wildly original, groundbreaking band you’d expect to have been first championed to the music industry by Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst. Sarcasm aside, its members probably don’t care, considering they’ve earned the critic-proofing that comes with five consecutive albums debuting in the top five of the pop charts, including 2008’s aptly titled The Illusion Of Progress and 2011’s self-titled release.
