Starfucker

In the last two years, Starfucker went through a dark period where worries over its nomenclature (which it changed to Pyramid, before appending that name with two extra “d”s, then ultimately deciding that prudish newspaper editors and rock clubs can just call the band “STRFKR”) threatened to sink the Portland electro-pop quartet before it even set sail. Turns out you really can’t judge a band by its name: The band’s latest, Reptilians, is a gorgeous set of post-MGMT synthscaping, full of burst-and-bloom hooks and slinky rhythms which, honestly, would be perfect for coitus with a celestial body.
