Stereo Total
Berlin-based Stereo Total has drawn musicians from all over Europe to its roster to supplement core duo Françoise Cactus and Brezel Göring, culling its sound from a variety of influences, including Kraftwerk, Kurt Weill, and Belle And Sebastian. Its bedrock sound is based on the cool sophistication of ’60s pop but branches out into electro, garage rock, and other genres according to its whims. The duo marks 10 years of multilingual come-ons and incitements with the Kill Rock Stars-issued Baby Ouh!, which captures Cactus and Göring’s synthesizer squiggles at their most raw and purposely amateurish.
