Artist Stone Sour

When Slipknot’s heavy hitters Corey Taylor and Jim Root need to unleash their sensitive sides in the form of a few slightly more gentle kicks to the face, we get another Stone Sour album. 2010’s Audio Secrecy is easily their most polished, and they’re clearly serious about taking the emotional content that might not jibe well with Slipknot’s “maggot” fanbase and putting it all into Stone Sour. That’s not to say that they’ve lost their edge, though—they’ve been getting the devil horns pumping and the heads banging as they headline the first Avalanche Tour.
