Artist Surgeons In Heat

Surgeons In Heat haven’t been together long, having just formed in August after frontman Johnathon Mayer moved to Milwaukee from northeastern Wisconsin. But the group is already turning some heads in the local scene thanks to an aggressive touring schedule and fuzzily tuneful songs like the catchy rocker “I Wanna Get Up,” which is currently available as a pay-what-you-want download at surgeonsinheat.bandcamp.com. Whether Surgeons In Heat can build on the promise of its early songs remains to be seen, but the curious won’t want for opportunities to see the group. This is the second of three shows the band is playing in Milwaukee in just over a month.
