Surgeons In Heat
In 2010, Surgeons In Heat contributed to an all-Wisconsin tribute to Wilco’s Summerteeth album, and the group’s 2011 self-titled EP illustrates just how good a fit that project was. The band’s easygoing, summery strums and well-crafted vocals sometimes evoke the simpler side of Jeff Tweedy, but are rarely simplistic. Surgeons In Heat have only been together for a year or so, but the hard-working group has been turning heads thanks to an aggressive touring schedule and fuzzily tuneful songs like the catchy rocker “I Wanna Get Up” and “The Price.”
