Ted Nugent
Never one for subtlety, the Motor City Madman still clings to old-timey notions of male-female relations and pretends he’s a comedian as he rips through classics like “Wang Dang Sweet Poontang,” but onlookers can take comfort in the fact that Nugent, like his music and outlook on life, is fossilizing quickly. Fans, however, should be thrilled that the Nuge has cooked up two mega-patriotic anthems for his current I Still Believe tour. The eponymous track noisily rips under forehead-slapping lines like “I’m addicted to liberty” and “I’m so damn alive,” while “I Love My BBQ” turns relentlessly killing and charring animals into an ode to international unity. Perfect.
