The American Dead look like the hearty type of punks that would beat each other bloody on the barroom floor one minute and drunkenly sing arm-in-arm to Social Distortion the next. Fittingly, the big-chorused, working-class-hero rock that it pours out on debut Hardluck And Hangovers sounds like the kind of stuff the members would be mashing it up to in the pit if they weren’t busy playing it.
