Minneapolis-based vocal group The Blenders return to their holiday sweet spot at The Pantages for their seemingly annual Holiday Soul Tour, a mix of vocal, R&B, and soul-based carols, hymns, and holiday standards. The Blenders heyday in the mid 1990’s saw them touring with acts like Jay Leno, Chuck Berry, and even Savage Garden. They were a powerhouse for fans of a cappella and vocal-based bands, and they even won three Emmys for news station jingles they wrote for Twins Cities TV! (We also didn’t know there was an Emmy for that.) Six of their last nine released albums have been christmas-related, so it’s safe to say that The Blenders’ time to shine is the holiday season. If you want to go, now is probably the best time to do it.
