The Bomb

When Jeff Pezzati announced the reformation of his legendary punk band Naked Raygun in 2006, he seemed to close the door on his much-less-ballyhooed other project, The Bomb. (An unfortunate status, as Jeff Dean is one of the best punk guitarists in Chicago.) After all, The Bomb often slipped Raygun covers into its live sets, next to its own melodic-punk songs. Now three years later, The Bomb has shown surprising tenacity: This year, the band released a new album, Speed Is Everything, recorded with respected indie producer J. Robbins.
