Minneapolis quintet The Book Of Right On is fronted by former Belles Of Skin City leader David Joe Holiday, and continues his mission to bring smart, bold, polyrhythmic punk to the masses. A common narrative accompanies much of the press surrounding Book Of Right On frontman Holiday: The longtime Twin Cities musician hasn’t gotten his just due. Holiday, a scene veteran who previously fronted Kentucky Gag Order as well as Belles Of Skin City, might have found the right formula with the Book of Right On. Named after a Joanna Newsom tune, the band features insane polyrhythmic percussion, wild guitar noodling, and Holiday’s verbose, manic vocals. Think TV On The Radio with less art and more rock ’n’ roll drive. The badass quintet is testing out songs from its forthcoming LP, How Many Ways Can You Say That You're Speaking.
