The Business
The Business formed in 1979, broke up and regrouped several times with different members throughout the ’80s, came back together again in 1992, and has since continued under the helm of vocalist and only constant member Micky Fitz. The English group has stayed the course of working-class punk rock throughout the decades, in near-complete denial of musical trends and fluctuating fan bases. Heavily influenced by such early Oi! acts as The 4-Skins and Sham 69, The Business has become a preeminent name in a relatively obscure subgenre through a stubborn constancy reflected in its never-say-die, anthemic songwriting. While the band hasn’t released a full-length since 2003’sHardcore Hooligan, its 2010 EP, Doing The Business, supplements four new songs with live tracks from a 1982 concert.
