Artist The Chain Gang Of 1974

Following in the footsteps of friends and tourmates 3OH!3, Kamtin Mohager (a.k.a. The Chain Gang Of 1974) employs a similar holler-over-sampled-beats method to collect his Internet fans. However, unlike his area-coded homies, Mohager doesn’t seem to get his own joke—tracks like “We At The Disco” and “DANCEKISSLOVEMOVE” position the (mostly) one-man band as more of a too serious LCD Soundsystem rip-off than a humor-driven performer. He must be doing something right though; he was signed by Warner Bros. and Modern Art Records, who released his major label debut, Wayward Fires, in summer 2011.
