The David Mayfield Parade

Born into a musical family, prominently bearded David Mayfield blends the ear-pleasing styles of folk and country on his most recent album, released last July under the guise of The David Mayfield Parade. Before embarking on a long overdue solo career, Mayfield frequently played backup for artists like Andy Griggs, The Avett Brothers, and his sister, indie-folk siren Jessica Lea Mayfield. In 2009, Mayfield was nominated for a Grammy after he produced and engineered bluegrass artist Barry Scott’s album, In God’s Time. More recently, Mayfield played in Americana-tinged group Cadillac Sky who found a decent amount of widespread support when they opened for bluegrass brethren Mumford And Sons on a nationwide U.S. tour.
