The Dead Weather
Jack White plays drums for The Dead Weather, which means The Dead Weather plays rock of a very discerning sort. Nothing White touches lacks for seething passion, after all (see: The White Stripes, The Raconteurs), and this group combines him with both singer Alison Mosshart of the grit-rock band The Kills and guitarist Dean Fertita of Queens Of The Stone Age for an extra shot of rock-ness. The band’s 2009 debut, Horehound, came doused in gutter-blues muck and oozing with sexual tension, particularly whenever White and Mosshart shared a mic. Led by sinister single “Die By The Drop,” the group's swiftly delivered follow-up, Sea Of Cowards, digs even deeper into the dirt.
