Artist The Dear Hunter

The Dear Hunter started out as a side project, but has since become a full-time deal for Casey Crescenzo, formerly of post-hardcore group The Receiving End Of Sirens. Crescenzo and crew tap into the same dramatic sound and velvet-curtain aesthetic (and fan base) as acts like My Chemical Romance and Panic At The Disco, giving modern-day dating stories a vintage twist with horns, jutting guitars, and a screamo-meets-doo-wop vocal style. Grand arrangements and overarching themes abound, as heard on 2009’s Act III: Life And Death and 2011’s The Color Spectrum.
