The Death Set
The Death Set specializes in spray-painting the walls with neon colors, setting its hyper-distorted, hyper-caffeinated screeds against a jumble of warp-zone electronic beats. Formed six years ago in Sydney, Australia, The Death Set released a series of EPs and 7-inches before a dropping full-length, the well-received Worldwide, in 2008. Almost a year later the band’s guitarist Beau Velasco was found dead, but the group continued to produce music, releasing the electrifying Michel Poiccard in 2011. Still, the group is most celebrated for its high-energy, in-your-face live show.
