Artist The Elders

Led by Irish-born vocalist Ian Byrne, Missouri’s The Elders proffer rootsy Celtic rock immersed in American tradition. The six-piece group has, for the last decade and over several studio albums, remained stubbornly steadfast, having yet to veer from its contemporary Irish sound. The Elders’ latest, 2011’s Wanderin’ Life & Times, is a genuine, foot-stomping testament to old-world charms with the occasional new-world flourish; the Elders’ live show, likewise, is a riotous barroom affair that is as invigorating to watch as it is to join.
