This Week Ted Leo And The Pharmacists cover Tears For Fears

Artist The Features

  • The Features

The Features took the long road to rock ’n’ roll. They debuted in 1997 as a Tennessee new-wave band before morphing into an Elephant 6-influenced pop band, and then, finally into a rollicking art-rock outfit. Still, their songs never ring false: Their albums, from their full-length debut, Exhibit A, to 2008’s Some Kind Of Salvation, radiate pure fun. Despite being around for over a decade, The Features still aren’t a household name on these shores—but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth a look. Give “Lions” off Salvation a shot: It’s infectiously catchy without being wimpy, so taut and purposeful in its hooks it requires multiple listens.
