The Get Down

Now beginning its ninth year, The Get Down has long been one of Milwaukee’s best dance parties, with DJs Andy Noble, Brent Goodsell, and company spinning ultra-rare and uber-funky 45s from the golden age of soul music. The event recently scaled back its twice-a-month Mad Planet residency to a single show per month. No matter: The night still draws some of the most diverse, fun-loving, and dance-happy crowds in town. If anything, the once-a-month schedule only makes The Get Down more rare (like its records), and even more vital.
